indonesian volcano awakes from 400 year dormancy

An Indonesian volcano erupted early Sunday, causing thousands to flee their homes, according to local officials.
There are no reports of death or injuries so far.
"The situation is under control. Emergency response teams are already on the scene," said Priyadi Kardono of the National Disaster Management Agency.
Mount Sinabung in North Sumatra had been classified as  inactive for more than 400 years by the Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation.

On Saturday, the center warned and ordered evacuation of a 3.7 mile radius of the mountain.
